Does Chaver in the Gemara mean something different than Chaver in the Mishna (IE one who is meticulous in מעשר and purity?) Like I was maybe incorrectly assuming chaver meant someone who avoids minor sins, unlike an Am Haaretz who does minor socially acceptable sins but not major sins.
